Migrant girl whose photo became face of US child separation policy reportedly not taken from mother

The young girl who became the face of the Trump Administration's child separation policy was not actually taken from her mother, it is reported.

A photo of the two-year-old from Honduras was seen around the world, and was featured on the cover of Time.

However, her parents say she wasn't separated from them.

The White House has accused Democrats and the media of exploiting the picture to push their agenda on immigration.
