Two men fishing off the West Australian coast were knocked into the water when a shark attacked their inflatable kayak.
The shark attacked from behind the vessel and deflated two of three inflatable chambers, Perth Now reported.
The men quickly got back into the kayak and paddled 200 metres to shore, uninjured.
One of the men said he was able to give the shark a poke with the paddle after it "bashed" him on the shoulder before swimming away.
The two men said witnesses on the shore believe the shark was larger than the kayak, making it over three metres.
The men showed media the deflated kayak which had teeth marks and the outline of a jaw.
Their close encounter came off Castle Rock beach in Dunsborough on Saturday. Beaches remain closed.
