The Norwegian-made bore pipes measure around two metres in diameter and are hundreds of metres long, according to local media.

The pipes were being towed by ships when a container ship drove through the towline, setting them adrift.

The pipes washed ashore by Horsey and Sea Palling in Norfolk.
