KFC celebrates 50th anniversary in Australia with famous giant bucket and free chicken

There will be a lot of finger licking going on in Sydney today, as KFC celebrates its 50th anniversary in Australia with a gigantic chicken bucket and free chicken for all today.

Thousands are expected to flock to Circular Quay on the Sydney Harbour this afternoon to take advantage of the free goods and party with an over-sized version of Colonel Sanders famous bucket.

The KFC chicken bucket stands a whopping six-metres-tall by seven-metres-wide.

Here in New Zealand we still have any three years to wait for a KFC 50th celebrations, with the first store opening opening in Auckland in 1971.

There are now 98 stores nationwide in Aotearoa.
