Heavy rain, flash flooding possible as Vanuatu braces for category two storm

Heavy rain, flash flooding and rough seas are expected.

Vanuatu is bracing for a category two storm.

It's currently around 250 kilometres west of the country's main island Santo.

Some areas are already being hit by 75 km/h winds.

Heavy rain, flash flooding and rough seas are expected with damaging gales of up to 110 km/h are predicted in the coming days.

The storm is not expected to reach New Zealand.
