August 19, 2018

A massive earthquake of magnitude 8.2 has struck between Fiji and Tonga this morning.

The quake, which struck in the Pacific Ocean on Sunday morning, is not expected to trigger a tsunami as it was too deep, the US Geological Survey says.

There have been no reports so far of any damage or potential casualties.
