A 20-year-old Scandinavian man tried to pick up a mobile phone out of the public toilet but got stuck for more than an hour.
Cato Berntsen Larsen got into the public toilet, like a long-drop in New Zealand, to retrieve his friend's phone when he got stuck.
"I was obviously slim enough to get into it, but not slim enough to get out. I was down there for one hour, and it was very unpleasant", Mr Larsen told the local newspaper, Drammens Tidende.
He got into the toilet because his friend would not have been slim enough to climb into the tank, but when he did Mr Larsen found himself standing at the bottom of the tank, thigh-deep in faeces, reported VG
"I panicked. I hate confined spaces. It was difficult to move," Mr Larsen said.
His friends called emergency services who came and helped him get out.
"We sent a fire truck with four men to the location. It took them about ten minutes to get the man out, the fire personnel had to demolish the toilet. It's now out of service," said Kristin Rødnes, from the Vestviken emergency central.
Mr Larsen was taken to an emergency room where his wounds were cleaned and he received antibiotic treatment.
