One clumsy pup was counting his lucky stars after being rescued from the bottom of a 25 metre-deep pit in Italy.

Tobby was out for a walk with his owner in the woods when he suddenly slipped into the abyss.

A two-hour rescue operation ended with Tobby being pulled up unharmed.
