A bridge in the UK has buckled under the weight of torrential rain as floods continue to hit the north of England.
Bystanders in Greater Manchester watched in disbelief as the downpour caused the bridge to collapse and brown waters to flow freely.
Fire spurted from the wreckage, a result of a burst gas mains, reports Nine News.
Footage posted to Facebook shows the moment the bridge gave way as shocked onlookers yelled "move, move".
A 200-year-old pub has also collapsed because of the flooding, and residents close to the waterway have been evacuated.
