A nursing home in Australia has received one of the worst report cards of any centre in the country.

It failed 98 per cent of its critical operating standards from the Australian Aged Care Quality Agency, reported 9 NEWS.

Residents at the Ark Nursing Home in the Western Sydney suburb of Paramatta were reportedly found to be at serious risk.

The report said the residents lived in fear of being assaulted and unable to easily access drinking water.
