HEAVY RAIN EXPECTED FOR PARTS OF CENTRAL NEW ZEALAND FROM FRIDAY EVENING INTO SATURDAY MORNING
North Island, periods of rain in the north and west, possibly heavy and thundery at times. Scattered falls spreading further east. South Island, thundery rain in the north, easing during the morning. Rain in the east with snow down to 800 metres. A few showers in the far south, but mainly fine for Fiordland.
North Island, showers, but mainly fine for Hawkes Bay and Gisborne until showers spread there in the evening. South Island, mostly cloudy with occasional showers.
North Island, fine breaks, and occasional showers mainly for western areas. South Island, cloudy with occasional showers in the south, and also the east coast. Mostly fine elsewhere.
