North Island, fine spells but showers south of Taranaki to East Cape and north of Auckland, snow to 200 metres in the east. South Island, showers in the south and east with snow to 2 or 300 metres, fine elsewhere.
Mainly fine from Auckland to Bay of Plenty and North Taranaki, showers elsewhere becoming less frequent, snow lifting in the east. South Island, showers in the south and east clearing, fine elsewhere.
Occasional showers becoming sleety on Wednesday and westerlies turning southwest. Strong cold southerlies and sleety showers on Thursday and Friday.
