World tennis number three Caroline Wozniacki has spoken about her love for playing in New Zealand, ahead of next week's ASB Classic.
Wozniacki, 27, enters this year's tournament as the favourite, having also competed in the 2017 edition.
Speaking to media today, Wozniacki spoke about why she keeps returning to Auckland to begin her year.
"I love playing this tournament," she said.
"I think it's a great start to the year, it's very relaxed and I think Karl (Budge, tournament director) does a great job of making everyone feel welcome and at home."
Wozniacki was also complimentary to the tournament as a whole, saying it was different to other competitions around the world.
"I think it's very fan friendly too.
"The fans love coming back, there's a good atmosphere and buzz.
"All the players feel very welcome."
