Kiwi tennis doubles player Michael Venus and his South African partner Raven Klaasen are through to second round of the US Open in New York, after a dominant first round performance.
The pair defeated Slovakia's Lukas Lacko and Australian rival John Millman 6-2, 6-2 in under an hour this morning.
Venus and Klaasen had no problems against their rivals in the first round, converting four of their eight break point chances to win in straight sets.
Venus and Klaasen are set to face either Argentine Maximo Gonzalez and Chilean Nicolas Jarry or Spaniard David Marrero and Poland's Marcin Matkowski in the second round.
