'We've got to get back on the horse' - Blues star says team can't dwell on recent failures

April 24, 2018

Matt Duffie is urging his side to put their recent woes behind them.

After their 15th straight loss to fellow Kiwi sides, the Blues are ready to get back to work to swing results in their favour, winger Matt Duffie says.

Following a string of losses in 2018, the Blues appear to be about to miss out on a finals spot, rooted firmly to the bottom of the New Zealand Super Rugby conference again.

Speaking to 1 NEWS this morning, Duffie said that the Blues have to draw a line under their failures to move forward.

"At the end of the day, we're in here now," he said.

"We've just got to get back into it - get back on the horse, train hard."

Duffie also praised his teammates for continuing to work hard, despite their season falling well short of any expectations.

"Full credit to the boys. They've turned up every Monday, Tuesday and I guess reviewed what we've done and got back into it."

"We can't really do anything else but keep training and keep working on our skills, keep working on our gameplan and back each other up."
