Sonny Bill Williams has revealed how he and All Blacks midfield partner Ryan Crotty have built and maintained their strong partnership on and off the field - "cuddles".
Williams was asked by reporters whether it takes much for the duo to "reconnect" after Crotty was rested for the Argentina leg of the All Blacks' back-to-back away games to finish the Rugby Championship.
"Oh, we have cuddles and that sometimes, watch a movie or two!" he joked.
"We've played together for years, going back to the Crusaders [in 2011] so I just listen and do as I'm told."
Williams also joked with reporters that he had a reason to get hyped for training this week, despite the All Blacks already having the Rugby Championship won.
"You forgot the power session this morning - I had a race with Crotty and I got up too - pretty happy about that!"
The pair have been named to start together when the All Blacks play the Springboks on Sunday at 4am NZT in Cape Town.
