Watch: Kieran Read calls for All Blacks to be a 'ruthless side' before Scotland Test

November 18, 2017

The All Blacks have struggled to secure points at times in 2017.

Ahead of the All Blacks' Test against Scotland at Murrayfield tomorrow morning, captain Kieran Read is saying he wants to see a more ruthless side from his team.

At times in 2017, the All Blacks have looked toothless in attack during the second half of a match, most noticeably in away victories over Argentina during the Rugby Championship and last week's clash with France in Paris.

Read though, says that his side need to regain the killer instinct that have served them well in becoming back-to-back world champions.

"We always want to be a ruthless side and come out there and put teams away," Read said at today's media conference.

"Test matches aren't supposed to be easy."

"The majority of the teams we play, play one of their best games of the season against us."

"We've just got to be disciplined to try and stick to our gameplan as much as we can for the full 80 (minutes)."
