All Blacks assistant coach Ian Foster has joked that Beauden Barrett's poor form with the boot against Argentina is down to eating too much of his mum's cooking in his hometown of New Plymouth last week.
Barrett missed all three of his attempts at goal in his side's 39-22 win, with replacement first-five Lima Sopoaga taking over kicking duties in the second spell.
Speaking at today's media conference, Foster said that the team aren't worried by Barrett's perceived lack of form.
"Probably blame his mum's scones on Wednesday night," he joked.
"Overall, we're really happy with his technique."
"He missed three kicks - conversions five metres from the sideline."
"He's not the only kicker to ever do that."
