And we are underway! Crusaders kick off to the Blues.

Blues first-five Ihaia West has been dumped from the starting XV for his Super Rugby side's clash with the Crusaders tonight with coach Tana Umaga opting to give Piers Francis his first start this season.

Elsewhere, Umaga has switched up his loose forward trio for the battle in Canterbury, with Test flanker Jerome Kaino to play at No.8.

Jimmy Tupou will switch from lock to Kaino's blindside role, while Gerard Cowley-Tuioti slots back into the second row next to Patrick Tuipulotu.

The Crusaders will be without star fullback Israel Dagg who will be sidelined for at least six weeks after suffering a knee injury in last week's match against the Reds.

Bryn Hall will start at halfback for the Crusaders against his former team, with Mitchell Drummond on the bench.

Mitchell Hunt has also been given the nod to start first-five for the Crusaders against his old side the Blues.
