Watch: Blues winger's message to frustrated fans - 'We'll get the results everyone wants'

April 24, 2018

The Blues are firmly rooted to the bottom of the NZ conference for another season.

Blues winger Matt Duffie is urging the side's fans to stick with the struggling team, who find themselves at the bottom of the New Zealand Super Rugby conference once again.

Last week's loss to the Highlanders means the Blues have now gone 15 matches against fellow New Zealand sides without a win, with fans' frustrations evident at the side's home matches at Eden Park.

Speaking to 1 NEWS, Duffie urged that the fans stay patient with the Blues, insisting that the side's fortunes will change eventually.

"At the end of the day it's about results, and we're not getting them," he said.

"I understand the frustration.

"At the end of the day, we've got plenty of young guys developing, and we've got some older guys that are going to come back into the team in the next few weeks hopefully.

"Just trust that we're working hard down here, and finger's crossed that we'll get the results that everyone wants."

The Blues host the Jaguares at home on Saturday, before a trip to Sydney to take on the Waratahs.
