Watch: Black Ferns create makeshift cricket game with rugby gear, send support to White Ferns for World Cup

November 14, 2018

The Black Ferns have attempted to collect big hits of a different kind during their end-of-year tour, with an improvised game of cricket to show their support for their cricketing counterparts.

The Black Ferns used tackle shields for wickets and a tennis racquet for a bat as they played the summer sport during a training ahead of their second Test against France in Grenoble this weekend.

The fun game was to show their support for the White Ferns, who play Australia later today in the T20 World Cup.

"We're backing you all the way from Grenoble," Kendra Cocksedge said.

The Black Ferns play France at 2:30am this Sunday while the White Ferns play at 1pm today in Guyana.
