Wallaroos beware! Black Ferns a ‘level up’ for Bledisloe double-header

August 18, 2018

The Wallaroos had better look out, the Black Ferns will be a level up for tonight’s Bledisloe double-header in Sydney.

That’s because the world champions added a re-enactment of the video for the Ciara track, Level Up, to their preparations on the eve of the Test.

A video, posted to Instagram by debutant winger Alena Saili, showed the team go through the routine on the cliffs overlooking Coogee Beach.

Ciara’s original video was actually choreographed by Parris Goebel, the New Zealand-born dancer, while it was filmed at Auckland Museum.

Saili, the 19-year-old Black Ferns Sevens player, was one of five debutants named with Auckland’s Ruahei Demant to start at first-five-eighth while Krysten Cottrell (Hawke's Bay), Cristo Tofa (North Harbour) and Leilani Perese (Counties Manukau) are in line to make their debuts off the bench.

The Black Ferns’ Test kicks off at 7.15pm NZT.
