'There was definitely lapses' - Wallabies hooker confident of rectifying mistakes from horror first Bledisloe Cup Test

Veteran hooker Tatafu Polota-Nau talked up the All Blacks defence and says his side will step up at Eden Park.

Wallabies hooker Tatafu Polota-Nau is adamant his team have learned from their mistakes from Sydney on Saturday and will front against the All Blacks in a must-win Test at Eden Park in Auckland.

The Wallabies went down to New Zealand 38-13 in the first Bledisloe Cup Test of 2018.

Speaking to media yesterday on Waiheke Island, Polota-Nau said his side had reviewed their line-out options in Sydney and will be prepared for the All Blacks come Saturday.

"Easy, just get back at training and rectify it (line-out) really," said Polota-Nau.

"I think as Adam (Coleman - Wallabies lock) alluded to, they (All Blacks) did well in marking our options, but there is no drama there.

"We just need to throw to where the space is."

The 33-year-old admits errors cost his side in the second spell, after going into halftime up 6-5.

"In the review there was definitely lapses in drill focus so there is nothing to worry about," he said.

"I think New Zealand defended really well, in saying that we have ourselves to be accountable for in terms of executing.

"So again I think it is just coming down to training and getting that drilled right."

The Wallabies haven't won at Eden Park in 32 years and if the All Blacks win, they will lock away the Bledisloe Cup trophy for a 17th consecutive year.
