'That's their business' - Blues ignoring return of controversial Israel Folau return ahead of Waratahs clash

May 1, 2018

The star fullback will make his Super Rugby return against the Blues this week.

The Blues aren't paying any attention to the Super Rugby return of controversial superstar Israel Folau, with the struggling Auckland side preparing to travel to Sydney to face the Waratahs this weekend.

Folau, 29, hasn't kicked a ball for the Waratahs since controversially declaring  last month on social media that gay people would to to "hell", prompting outrage in both Australia and New Zealand.

Naturally, the fullback's return to action has been a topic of conversation ahead of Saturday's clash, although Blues hooker James Parsons says that no attention is being paid to Folau.

"I don't buy into any of that," Parsons told 1 NEWS.

"That's their business. It is what it is.

"For me, I'm a rugby player first and foremost. I've got enough on my plate at the moment, trying to get a performance that we can be proud of and get a result, rather than buy into any of that."
