Tasman young gun shows off his brilliance with incredible 80m try that included a chip and chase

August 26, 2018

Tasman heaped misery on lowly Southland as the Makos secured their position on top of the Mitre 10 Cup ladder with a 45-24 win.

Highly-touted Crusaders player Will Jordan scored two tries for Tasman at fullback including an incredible 80m effort that saw him chip and chase for himself before streaking away from the Southland defenders.

Southland, under first year coach Dave Hewett, showed some fight but were eventually blown away by Tasman, who had eight Super Rugby players in the starting side.

The Stags have now lost 12 matches in a row and last tasted victory almost two years ago when they beat Northland in October 2016.

The Makos, who are top of the ladder on points differential, face fellow unbeaten side North Harbour in Auckland yesterday.
