Steve Hansen unconcerned by All Blacks' Wellington showing - 'we played poorly and won the series'

June 17, 2018

The All Blacks were far from their best in last night's 26-13 win.

All Blacks coach Steve Hansen says he's not worrying over his side's poor showing in Wellington last night, unconvincing in the 26-13 win over France.

Despite France being reduced to 14-men early in the first half, the All Blacks looked far from their best, struggling to have the same impact as they did in the 52-11 win at Eden Park last week.

Speaking to media in Wellington this morning, Hansen was his usual self when addressing the performance.

"There have been worse All Blacks performances I've been involved in," he said.

"The big thing is we won't panic.

"Let's look at what we did achieve last night. We played poorly and won a series, so that can't be all bad.

"Whilst we're disappointed, we're still managing to do things that are positive. What we've got to do, as I said before, is go away, have a good look at what we're doing, learn from those things and get better at it.

"History would suggest we're not bad at it."
