Steve Hansen makes light of post All Blacks future - ‘I’ll be going to Japan, probably in September’

Steve Hansen was at his mischievous best today when quizzed about his post-World Cup plans.

The All Blacks coach will step down from his role after this year’s tournament in Japan, with speculation suggesting he will take a role in that country afterwards.

At an All Blacks get-together in Wellington today, Hanson was quizzed about the issue.

“I’ll be going to Japan at some stage, around September,” he said, sending the media into fits of giggles.

Hanson said he was concentrating on the task at hand, and would provide an update when there was something to say.
