Crusaders coach Scott Robertson has played down any injury concerns over Ryan Crotty, saying the midfielder left the field with a sore throat against the Hurricanes last night.
With a series of concussion issues having plagued Crotty in recent times, fans feared the worst when the Crusaders second-five left the field prematurely in last night's 32-8 in Wellington.
Speaking to media afterwards though, coach Robertson updated Crotty's condition, saying that there were no real concerns heading forward.
"He got a whack in the throat. In the trachea," Robertson said.
"He's got a husky voice like Brad Thorn but other than that he's good."
Crotty should be available for the Crusaders' next game, taking on the Brumbies in Christchurch next weekend.
