All Blacks flanker Sam Cane was a sight for sore eyes at Chiefs training this morning, taking part in some light work as he returns from injury.
Cane, 27, hasn't played any rugby since last October, fracturing a vertebrae and undergoing an operation in his neck against the Springboks.
The flanker has since returned to Chiefs training, albeit on a limited basis, with coach Colin Cooper earlier this month confirming his workload will be managed.
Cane instead took part in a Chiefs drill of cricket style slip catching, with tennis balls being hit with a tennis racket at the group of players.
The Chiefs have given no indication as to when Cane may return to playing.
