January 7, 2019

The All Blacks star has been playing club cricket to prepare for this month's match.

All Blacks star Beauden Barrett's preparing for this month's T20 Black Clash, getting in some club cricket during his time off from rugby.

The Black Clash T20 Bonanza will see legends from both cricket and rugby go head to head on January 25 in Christchurch, with both Beauden and Jordie Barrett a part of Team Rugby.

Speaking today, Beauden confirmed that he's taking his preparation seriously, getting some match practice in over the summer.

"I actually had a hit out for Pihama Cricket Club," he said.

"[I] rolled my arm over for nine overs, and felt worse than I did after any rugby game.

"But it was good to get a game in before the big one."

The T20 Black Clash will be shown live on TVNZ1 on Friday January 25, from 4pm.
