The rugby world is today paying tribute to Dylan Mika, after the seven Test All Blacks flanker died of a heart attack last night at the age of 45.
Mika, who represented both New Zealand and Manu Samoa in his career, was a member of the All Blacks' 1999 World Cup squad, and was a popular figure among Auckland rugby.
"Rest easy uce," former All Black Liam Messam tweeted.
"Oh man. Rest in peace Dylan Mika," former Blues and Highlanders player Dan Bowden tweeted.
"The thoughts & prayers of all #RPA members are with the family & friends of former @AllBlacks & @manusamoa player Dylan Mika following his passing today. RIP Dylan," said the Rugby Players Association.
"Terrible news to hear!! Great guy!! RIP!!" tweeted former North Harbour star Michael Mayhew.
PacificRugbyWelfare tweeted: "The thoughts of the Pacific family in Europe are with the family".
Mika worked as vice president of the New Zealand Barbarians club after his playing career.
