Quade Cooper's Wallabies exile appears to be over, with the opinion splitting playmaker called into coach Michael Chieka's first training squad of 2019.
Cooper, 30, hasn't featured for the Wallabies since 2017, dropping down to Queenslad club rugby after a falling out with Reds coach Brad Thorn.
However, the Tokoroa-born playmaker has been thrown a lifeline, penning a one-year deal with the Melbourne Rebels for the upcoming season.
According to Rugby Australia's website, Cooper was one of a number of players involved in a conditioning camp in Sydney. He posted on Instagram that it was his "first time back here in a while".
Cooper has played 70 Tests for the Wallabies, who begin their international season on July 20 against South Africa, before their Rugby World Cup campaign, starting with Fiji on September 21.
