'New Zealand are worrying' - All Blacks fear Springboks, says former SA hooker

The All Blacks are sweating over the resurgence of South Africa under coach Rassie Erasmus, according to former Springbok turned pundit Hayani Shimange.

With the All Blacks and Springboks to open their respective Rugby World Cup campaigns against each other on September 21, Shimange pointed at last year's 36-34 South African victory as proof that Steve Hansen's side aren't as invincible as once feared.

"I can guarantee you New Zealand are worrying more about them playing us than we are about us playing them, considering we beat them last year in New Zealand," ," Shimange said at a sponsor's event in Paarl.

"I cannot remember when last that happened outside of a British and Irish Lions tour."

The All Blacks and South Africa will face each other in Wellington on July 27 in the Rugby Championship, before their Rugby World Cup clash on September 21 in Yokohama.
