New Crusaders CEO joins select group of three

December 21, 2018

Colin Mansbridge said getting the job as the Crusaders boss was what it must feel like to be picked for the All Blacks.

New Crusaders CEO Colin Mansbridge couldn’t be more excited after landing his dream job, comparing his appointment to being named in the All Blacks.

Mansbridge shares his enthusiasm with coach Scott Robertson.

"When I was asked about it, it felt like being selected for the All Blacks," he told 1 NEWS.

He started his playing career at Burnside, a career that saw him make a handful of appearances for Otago in the 1980s.

After a career in finance and agribusiness, he's tasked with filling the boots of long serving CEOs Steve Tew and Hamish Riach.

"Both of them rang me on the day of the announcement, to remind me that I was a select one of three," Mansbridge said.

"Razor's special and Razor's group is special as well, they worked very well together and again they're connected to that cultural ethos which is the Crusaders business," he said.
