Mitch Hunt loses the plot, dresses as Tyrion Lannister for Crusaders' Game of Thrones dinner

July 6, 2019

The first-five became the Hand of the King ahead of tonight's Super Rugby final.

Crusaders first-five Mitch Hunt struggled to keep his composure, dressing up as Tyrion Lannister for his side's Game of Thrones inspired dinner last night.

With the Crusaders celebrating their season before tonight's final against the Jaguares, Hunt came dressed as Peter Dinklage's character, admittedly not a huge fan of the HBO television phenomenon.

Interviewed by teammate Ryan Crotty, Hunt couldn't contain his laughter, egged on by his teammates.

"Obviously, [I'm] not a Game of Thrones fan as well as the other lads," Hunt said.

"A few people thought I was a queen tonight, so I'm sort of running with that tonight rather than the dwarf king or whatever the other fella is."

"Hand of the King," said Crotty, correcting Hunt.

The Crusaders then left the restaurant, getting a team photo in Christchurch's Merivale Mall.
