Blues 13 - 20 Jaguares

80 mins: That's it. The Blues' season of woe hits a new low. What a night for the Jaguares though, that's their first win against a NZ franchise. Well done to them, a very well deserved win. Where the Blues go from here, however, is another story.

76 mins: They get a penalty. A lineout about 10m out might be their best chance but they can't secure the lineout.

75 mins: Another knock on for the Blues. It looks increasingly like the Jaguares will get their first win over a NZ franchise.

73 mins: Rieko knocks on again.

71 mins: Rieko can't reel in a chip kick. Tough in the conditions but that was a great opportunity.

69 mins: Penalty, Jaguares. A small contigent of Argentine fans are getting louder and louder, and rightly so.

68 mins: The task gets a little bit harder for the Blues with the Jaguares kicking a penalty.

65 mins: Bit of push and shove after a great Jaguares hit forced the knock on. The Ioane brothers were in the middle of it, unsurprisingly.

62 mins: The Jaguares hit the lead! Lezana crashed over. The conversion is successful. Well, the Blues are staring at a historic defeat after a lacklustre start to the second half.

60 mins: The Jaguares strung together 19 phases. A remarkable effort, because the rain is getting heavier.

55 mins: The Jaguares have scored! Boffelli finished off a nice backline move in the corner. Some nice hands in the wet there. Conversion is unsuccessful so it remains 13-10.

52 mins: Parsons knocks one on.

50 mins: Blues skipper Pulu is on the field and puts up a box kick as his first involvement.

48 mins: The Jaguares to take the Blues on at scrum time, again. Manu wins a turnover off the back of the scrum.

43 mins: A penalty against Akira gives the Jaguares some nice field position and a chance to drive, naturally. The Blues get a great turnover. They've defended strongly tonight.

40+ mins: Halftime, Sanchez looked like he was going to score but Parsons ripped the ball off him. A great defensive stand from the Blues. That'll give them some confidence as they head into the sheds.

40+ mins: Penalty to the Jaguares and they'll scrum, again. Some old school 10-man rugby right here.

40+ mins: It's not a pushover, the Jaguares try to rumble it up with ball in hand...

40+ mins: Another big shove earns the Jaguares a penalty. They'll take another scrum. Could be looking at a penalty try potentially if the Blues can't hold their own. Needless to say this is a big moment.

40 mins: The Jaguares will take this shot at goal surely. They don't and go for the scrum. Confident or bizarre decision. We'll soon see.

39 mins: A huge scrum from the Jaguares wins them a penalty but one of their locks has stayed down. Actually, he's up now.

37 mins: Goodhue is down, he'll come off for HIA after taking a blow to the head. Probably the last thing the Blues needed particularly given how well he was going.

36 mins: The Blues produce some nice defence and they win a penalty. After a shaky opening 10 minutes, it's been a very good period for the home side.

34 mins: The Blues to take a shot after being awarded a kickable penalty. Perofeta kicking into the breeze...and he's nailed it. Well done that man.

28 mins: Perofeta hits the post! The Blues No.10 was unlucky there from the sideline. 10-5 it remains.

27 mins: Duffie with the finish! The fullback chimed into the backline and reached out through the tackle to get the ball down. A remarkable effort given the conditions.

25 mins: The Blues get a kickable penalty but they'll go for touch. Rieko with a superb pick up and run was largely responsible for that.

23 mins: Akira Ioane returns to the field and the Blues are back to 15. They emerge largely unscathed from that 10 minutes.

20 mins: Some poor discipline gave the Jaguares a great chance on the Blues' line but some great defence from the home side stops the drive. Looks like it was Ruru who was responsible. An unlikely hero in that moment.

18 mins: The Blues have hit back! Manu scores in the corner after a nice long pass from Perofeta. He can't kick the tough conversion so it remains 5-all.

12 mins: The Jaguares are in! With only seven forwards on the field there was no stopping that drive. Creevy comes up with the ball. The hooker is actually the Jaugares' leading try scorer which is brilliant. Equally remarkably, the conversion from pretty well in front was unsuccessful.

12 mins: That's four straight penalties against the Blues and Akira Ioane has been sent to the bin. Jaugares to go for the lineout drive, again.

10 mins: Parsons concedes a penalty for a shoulder at the breakdown. It's not a night for free flowing footy, that's for sure. They compound the penalty with another. The Jaguares kick for the corner.

7 mins: Rieko Ioane makes a mistake and the Jaguares get the ball inside the Blues' half.

4 mins: The Blues are stringing some phases together nicely, virtually in the 22 now. A knock at the breakdown undoes all the good work.

1 mins: Perofeta clears nicely to start the game. Field position will be key on a wet night.

Pre-match:

The Blues are in their customary position at the bottom of the NZ conference.

Can they salvage some pride and win their third game of the season when they take on the Jaguares at Eden Park?
