Out of ideas. Predictable. Boring. That's the verdict on the All Blacks' 16-9 loss to Ireland from 1 NEWS Sport's Stephen Stuart.
Following yesterday's loss in Dublin, the inquest has started as to where the All Blacks went wrong, and more importantly where they go from here.
Appearing on TVNZ 1's Breakfast this morning, Stephen Stuart and Guy Heveldt offered their take on the impact of the All Blacks most recent defeat.
"It's good for Ireland, a fantastic result," began Guy.
"I do find it funny that whenever the All Blacks lose, the country seems to go into meltdown and find all these bizarre excuses. 'Kieran Read shouldn't be captain anymore, Brodie Retallick's out of form', he played one bad game, just get over it people, please."
Stephen on the other hand, took a much more pragmatic approach to Steve Hansen's side's sluggish showing.
"It was always going to happen."
"They were terrible against a terrible England side missing key players. England should have beaten them.
"Ireland are so much better than England, they worked the All Blacks out.
"Can I say this? The All Blacks have turned into a European side. [They] kick too much, can't score tries.
"Boring. I don't like to say it, but they are boring."
