Former All Blacks winger Julian Savea has responded to the criticism from Toulon owner Mourad Boudjellal, having been labelled as "not welcome" at the high profile French club.
Savea, 27, has struggled since his arrival at Toulon, most recently culminating in a 19-10 loss to Agen, prompting an outburst from the club's owner.
In response though, Savea has been diplomatic, taking to Twitter to hit back at Boudjellal's comments.
"Putting all the negativity behind me and heading into this week with a positive attitude," Savea wrote.
"Whether I am welcomed or not I am still contracted to my team and I will continue to train week in and week out with my brothers."
Savea is midway through his current deal with Toulon, having scored just once since his high profile arrival at the Top 14 side, currently 11th on the table.
