'I've got to make every day a winner' – SBW out to impress in 50th Test tomorrow

October 26, 2018

The All Blacks star will line up for his half century against Australia tomorrow.

All Blacks star Sonny Bill Williams is hoping to put a dogged year of injuries behind him when he runs out against Australia in Tokyo for his 50th Test match tomorrow.

Williams, 33, has missed a large chunk of the 2018 season with various injuries, but has been passed fit to start against the Wallabies in tomorrow's third Bledisloe Cup Test.

Williams said that he's feeling confident he'll be able to perform after spells on the sidelines.

"My feet are firmly on the ground, I've got to make every day a winner" Williams told media yesterday.

"I haven't had many minutes playing rugby this year, but that's what I need.

"I've got confidence in my ability that once I get those minutes in, I'll be world class.

"I don't have any doubts there, just grateful to be suiting up this week."

The All Blacks' clash with Australia kicks off tomorrow evening.
