'It's part of our game' – Steve Hansen relaxed over Super Rugby injury woes

March 12, 2018

A number of key players have been struck down already in 2018.

All Blacks coach Steve Hansen says he isn't worried about the number of injuries to his players so far this season, adding that it's part of the game.

As the All Blacks' South Island players today met in Christchurch for the first time this year, a number of key players are under various injury clouds.

Ryan Crotty and Sam Whitelock are absent altogether, while the likes of Kieran Read, Israel Dagg, Joe Moody and Owen Franks are taking part in light training due to ongoing issues.

Speaking to media though, Hansen said there was no cause for concern.

"It's part of our game," he said.

"It's a physical game we're playing, and when you start playing derbies right from the get go, there's no more physical games than that."
