All Blacks coach Steve Hansen has suggested that rookie Crusaders back David Havili could be in line for an international debut against Argentina on October 1.
Havili, 22, will find himself as the All Blacks' only specialist cover at fullback for the match, with Lima Sopoaga staying home to attend the birth of his first child opening the door for Damian McKenzie to switch to first-five.
Speaking to reporters today, Hansen praised the dynamic young back, talking about his short time in the All Blacks' environment.
"He's a confident young man, he plays like that," Hansen said.
"He's obviously come in, he was a little overawed as all new All Blacks are."
"He's now starting to train well, in the environment, so looking forward to taking the next step with him."
