'He is a constant professional' - Tana Umaga heralds SBW Super Rugby return

May 9, 2018

The cross code star will have three matches before the All Blacks' June Test series against France.

Cross code star Sonny Bill Williams is back for the Blues in time for their local derby match against the Hurricanes tomorrow night at Eden Park in Auckland.

Williams will be needing as much game time as possible to be match fit for the All Blacks' upcoming Tests series against France in four weeks.

Fitness permitting Williams will have three matches before Test action in June.

"He is a constant professional, that's why guys like him, Jerome (Kaino), you don't have to worry about bringing them through another game of rugby because they know exactly where they need to be," said Blues coach Tana Umaga.

Williams' Blues teammate Ofa Tu'ungafasi has re-signed with the Super Rugby franchise and New Zealand Rugby until the end of 2021.
