'Frustrated' Aussie commentator Phil Kearns explodes after Wallabies hooker gets yellow card

Wallabies great and renowned Australian commentator Phil Kearns has slammed the All Blacks for supposedly influencing referees, following their 37-20 win in Yokohama.

In the second half on Saturday night, Australian hooker Tolu Latu was sent to the bin, after reacting to a shove from All Blacks opposite Codie Taylor, connecting with an open palm to the face.

However, there are claims that Taylor should have been shown a yellow card as well for his role in the incident.

Speaking on Australia's Fox Sports broadcast, Kearns hit out at the perceived injustice cast upon the Wallabies.

"That yellow card, I've got to say, I'm consistently frustrated - and I know world rugby is, the other teams except New Zealand -frustrated with the free ride New Zealand get from referees globally," Kearns said.

"It was just a little push and the other bloke pushed him first."

"Just get on with the game and that was part of my frustration, with the All Blacks getting a free ride.

"Get both of them off."

The Wallabies will now head to Europe for their northern tour, while the All Blacks stay in Japan for another week, taking on their hosts next weekend.
