Exclusive: Sir John Kirwan positive children can drive NZ's change in mental health

October 8, 2018

The rugby great sat down with Seven Sharp and spoke about his past, his future, and balloon animals.

It worked with seat belts and smoking - now an All Black great believes our children can help drive change in mental health.

The Sir John Kirwan Foundation is planning to equip school-aged children with the age-appropriate skills they need to recognise and respond to mental health issues in themselves and others.

The former winger is ready to take on the world and mental health in one sweep.

"I want to have the greatest mental health in the developed world. Not the worst."

Sir John spoke exclusively with Seven Sharp’s Mike Thorpe about his past, his future… and balloon animals.
