Crusaders set to welcome back injured All Blacks pair for Sunwolves clash

April 17, 2018

Israel Dagg and Owen Franks played club rugby over the weekend and are available for selection.

The Crusaders look set to welcome back some of their internationals from the casualty ward for their Super Rugby match against the Sunwolves on Saturday in Christchurch.

All Blacks utility back Israel Dagg has been out injured for eight months with a knee injury, he is set to return along with prop Owen Franks after they both played club rugby over the weekend.

"He's available for selection as well, so Dagg I give credit to him and Owen. For the boys to be coming back from long term injuries, they have all worked hard to put some good club minutes in," said Crusaders forwards coach Jason Ryan.

Tim Bateman looks likely to partner up with Ryan Crotty in the midfield with Jack Goodhue ruled out for a few weeks after suffering a hamstring injury.
