The Crusaders will have the services of two of New Zealand's more promising outside backs for the next three years after retaining David Havili.
David Havili of the Crusaders.
Already with two Super Rugby seasons under his belt, the versatile Havili has agreed to stay until 2019.
It is the same tenure contract signed last month by another 21-year-old, rising New Zealand age group representative centre Jack Goodhue.
Tasman back Havili has impressed at fullback and in the midfield for the Crusaders, having added bulk to his frame but retained his elusive running skills and off-loading game.
Crusaders coach Scott Robertson expects Havili to blossom next year in a squad which will be missing 2016 midfield options Kieron Fonotia and Robbie Fruean.
"Dave has very quickly made his mark, but I believe that the best is yet to come," Robertson said.
