Brave Springboks hold off All Blacks to earn famous victory in Wellington

South Africa have edged the All Blacks 36-34 in their Rugby Championship match at Westpac Stadium in Wellington tonight.

It was the first time the Springboks had defeated the All Blacks in New Zealand since 2009.

The All Blacks had a chance to win the match in the final stages of the Test, but Damian McKenzie had the ball stripped from him with the Springboks booting the ball into touch to earn a famous victory in Wellington.

South Africa's winger Aphiwe Dyantyi was impressive scoring two superb tries in the Test, while Willie Le Roux, Malcolm Marx and Cheslin Kolbe also crossed the try-line for the visitors.

Rieko Ioane bagged a double for the All Blacks with Jordie Barrett, Aaron Smith, Codie Taylor and Ardie Savea also scoring for New Zealand.

Beauden Barrett had a night to forget with the boot, only converting two out six shots at goal.
