Beauden Barrett has offered a message of support to former Hurricanes and All Blacks teammate Julian Savea, saying everyone here is backing him to bounce back.
Barrett offered the kind words after Savea made headlines yesterday when his club owner in France, Toulon's Mourad Boudjellal, said he was "not welcome" anymore due to his playing performances.
But Barrett believes it'll take more than that to keep The Bus down.
"I'm supporting Julian and wishing him all the best," Barrett said.
"He's a great player and I'm sure he'll bounce back in no time. He's world class.
"I've got his back and so does everyone here at the [Hurricanes] camp."
Barrett said seeing those sorts of comments won't help owners like Boudjellal recruit more players in the future.
