This year's Rugby World Cup in Japan will be even more significant for the Barrett family, with three brothers named to represent the All Blacks in their defence of the Webb Ellis Cup.
With the trio of first-five Beauden, lock Scott and utility back Jordie heading to Japan as part of Steve Hansen's 31-man squad, the Barrett siblings will again get another chance to shine as a trio on the international stage.
Oldest of the trio Beauden fronted media this morning, asked about what it will mean to share the global stage with his siblings once again, only this time at a World Cup.
"It's very special," he said.
"It's one thing to run out there and play a Test match with my other two brothers, but its another thing to go to a World Cup and have this wonderful challenge ahead of us.
"It's going to be a fun journey."
The trio will be in contention for the All Blacks' World Cup opener, taking on South Africa in Yokohama on September 21.
