The 32-year-old played against Petone in the Wellington premier club competition.

All Blacks hooker Dane Coles made a successful return to rugby this afternoon, even managing to score a try for his Wellington club side.

The 32-year-old started at hooker for his club side Poneke against Petone.

Coles has been sidelined since March after suffering a calf injury while playing for the Hurricanes.

His Poneke team went on to lose 23-17 against Petone in the Wellington premier club competition.
